I started SOSA Medical Aesthetics because I firmly believe in the importance of spending time with patients. Unfortunately, because of all the bureaucracy and paperwork, the current system does not allow a health care provider to create strong relationships with their patients. We believe strong doctor-patient relationships are a necessary ingredient to develop personalized recommendations that truly improve the health of those we serve.
SOSA Medical Aesthetics was created so we can hear our patient’s stories, help them understand their illness and work collaboratively with them to develop an evidence-based plan that addresses the root causes of their condition. We believe deeply in spending time with you, understanding your needs, and fully evaluating your condition and ability to address the underlying issues leading to that condition. The Benjamin Franklin axiom that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is as true today as it was when Franklin made the quote.

We spent considerable time getting our logo perfected. It wasn’t just the design but also it’s meaning. We moved from the stylized, round elephant-leaf head (Elevant) to a simpler, more elegant design that captures the essence of our boutique aesthetic and remains just as meaningful but instantly more recognizable.
Our new name, Botaniq, derives from ‘botanical’ and captures our plant-based foundation. The water droplet and inner leaf represent plants and life-sustaining water, while giving a nod to our IV hydration services.
The ‘b’ and ‘q’ represent the first and last letters in the name while the ‘h’ stands for ‘health’ and the inner ‘o’ for ‘optimization’.
Our navy blue color remains the same from Dr. Sosa’s alma mater -The University of Michigan – but the maize yellow is replaced with a soft, calming pale blue.
